Nestled within a sprawling 500-acre oceanfront farm in East Sooke, British Columbia, this beautiful guest home, affectionately referred to as ‘The Farmhouse’, was designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding forest while offering protection from the harsh coastal winds.
Our clients envisioned a home that would disappear into the trees, creating a quiet retreat that felt sturdy and secure from the elements, yet bright and welcoming inside.
EAST SOOKE | 2023
Perched on a hillside overlooking both Okanagan and Kalamalka Lakes, this executive home was designed to embrace the tranquility of its natural surroundings. Situated on 5 acres of pine trees, the clients wanted a space that seamlessly hugged the landscape, capturing the forest through every window.
We used a combination of metal siding and warm wood finishes, complemented by stunning copper tile on the home’s two fireplaces to blend the home into hillside. The design extends beyond the interior, with a negative edge concrete pool and an inviting outdoor fireplace that blend harmoniously with the surroundings.

Perched in the hills above Vernon, this home was designed to feel both grounded in its forested setting and open to sweeping valley views. The layout flows effortlessly back to the central living spaces while giving each room its own sense of intimacy and independence.

Set along the tranquil shores of the Shuswap River, this home combines modern rooflines with warm timber and farmhouse accents to create the ultimate family retreat. Designed to capture the stunning views of the Enderby Cliffs, the large east-facing windows flood the home with natural light and offer breathtaking vistas.
