Our work considers how a home sits within the landscape, how natural light moves through a space, and how each room supports the rhythms of daily life.

We guide each project with clarity and restraint — creating homes that feel enduring, functional, and deeply connected to the people who live in them.

OUR PROCESS

  • We start by listening closely — We take time to learn how you live, what you value, and how the home should feel within its setting. Through conversations, site analysis, and precedent exploration, we establish the vision, opportunities, and guiding principles that shape the project moving forward.

  • We translate ideas into a clear architectural direction by defining spatial priorities, creating mood boards and defining functional needs. This phase focuses on how the home will support daily life — balancing lifestyle, scale, flow, privacy, and connection to the landscape.

  • Initial concepts begin to take form through plans, massing studies, and early exterior language. We explore proportion, light, circulation, and site integration to create a design that feels both intentional and deeply connected to place.

  • The design is refined through deeper architectural and interior coordination. Materials, detailing, spatial experience, and key moments throughout the home are carefully considered to ensure the project feels cohesive, timeless, and highly resolved.

  • Comprehensive drawing packages are developed to communicate the design clearly for permitting, pricing, and construction. This phase focuses on precision, coordination, and buildability while maintaining the integrity of the overall design vision.

  • Beyond the architecture itself, we continue refining the experience of the home through interior detailing, millwork concepts, finish direction, and collaboration with builders and consultants. The result is a home that feels thoughtful, enduring, and deeply personal in every detail.

I founded Meraki Shane Design Studio from a belief that home should feel deeply connected to the way we live — shaped not only by architecture, but by landscape, routine, and experience.

My background combines residential design with years of experience working within complex construction and project environments, shaping an approach that balances creativity with technical understanding and real-world functionality.

I’m drawn to homes that feel calm, enduring, and deeply personal — spaces designed with restraint, intention, and a strong connection to place.

For me, great design is never only about how a home looks. It’s about how it feels to live there.
